The multiplier and its base
A wagering requirement is written as a multiplier, and the multiplier alone is only half the term. The other half — what it multiplies — doubles or halves the obligation on identical money, and it occupies one line of the terms.
Game weighting, the second multiplier nobody mentions
Underneath the headline requirement sits a table stating how much each kind of game contributes. It is rarely in the offer and always in the terms.
| Game type | Typical weighting | Effect on a 35× requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Slots | 100% | 35× as stated |
| Crash and dice | varies widely | read the table — sometimes excluded |
| Live dealer | 10–20% | effectively 175×–350× |
| Roulette and blackjack | 10% or excluded | effectively 350× or impossible |
| Jackpot slots | often excluded | contributes nothing |
Typical shapes rather than quoted figures: weightings differ per operator and change. The table in the terms is the one that governs.
The consequence is worth stating bluntly. A player who intends to spend the evening at a blackjack table and accepts a slots-weighted bonus has accepted an obligation roughly ten times larger than the headline suggests.
The same offer, in shillings
| Deposit and bonus | 35× bonus | 35× both | 40× both |
|---|---|---|---|
| KSh 5,000 + KSh 5,000 | KSh 175,000 | KSh 350,000 | KSh 400,000 |
| KSh 10,000 + KSh 10,000 | KSh 350,000 | KSh 700,000 | KSh 800,000 |
| KSh 20,000 + KSh 10,000 | KSh 350,000 | KSh 1,050,000 | KSh 1,200,000 |
Turnover in shillings at the working rate on this site. Seeing it in local money is the point of the table — the same figures in dollars read as abstractions.
Two clauses that end an offer early
- Maximum bet while a bonus is active. Usually a small figure. Exceeding it once, even by accident, can void the bonus and sometimes everything won with it.
- The time limit. A requirement with a seven-day window is a schedule. Missing it usually removes the bonus and whatever is attributable to it.
